And what is it you're going to have to do for Cassius in order to get it? Find this friend of his? I'm sure there are countless others just as willing to risk their lives for a faceless acronym. Why does one of those people have to be you?

well some of those countess others are my friends, including caroline. it's not like i have very many so i'd like to keep the ones i have alive.

I don't believe I have. In fact, revisiting our exchange: I asked you a question. You evaded said question. I prodded further. You were honest because you were cornered. I asked for your motivations, you misconstrued pretty much everything I've said, and somehow, my entire perception of you. At what point in your life do you think I ever believed you were weak. Not when you were younger, not at the age of four, not at fourteen and certainly not now.

Now. I am not telling you what to do. I'm inquiring into how far this goes, and why. You want your magic. I have been around witches who've lost their connection, I have seen what lengths they'll go to to get it back, Hope.

Has Cassius expressed exactly how he will retrieve your connection to your witch ancestry?

there's only a couple of things that could be causing the problem. my magic is there, i just can't get to it, so something is blocking it. the same happens if i try to turn into a werewolf.

it's either this thing in our chests or it's the neural implant they put in when we got here. i want to check my implant and see if it's doing anything that isn't normal.
