PERSONALITY:
Most people would hear about Hope Mikaelson and assume she's a monster. Just the name Mikaelson strikes terror into the hearts of the entire supernatural community that she was born into, and her life has been what most would call a nightmare. She carried the power of a witch even as a very young child, saw her father brutally murder an entire group of people in front of her, and was possessed by a great evil, all before she would have been out of elementary school.
No child lives through that unscathed, and yet Hope managed to hang onto a heart that cared about other people and wanted to be good.
To make matters worse, she was separated physically from her family in order to protect her. She grew up loved but also in a great deal of isolation; even when she moved to the Salvatore School for supernatural kids, she had to hide behind her mother's last name in an attempt to keep her from being found.
Hope grew up very angry and emotionally turbulent, and while this is somewhat normal for a teenager, her emotional outbursts resulted in dangerous situations for the people around her, as things would spontaneously combust around her. All she ever wanted was for her family to be able to be together, and in the end? Her parents both died to keep her alive and safe and Hope was orphaned at 15. Hope blames herself for the deaths of her parents; her mother Hayley was killed after she was kidnapped from a sleep and cloaking spell that her own daughter put on her to make her father come back into town, and her father committed suicide, along with her uncle, to rid the world of the Hollow after removing its power from Hope's body and placing it in his own.
Ever since then, Hope has become something of a loner and a hermit. She hides in her room while the other kids at her school party. She pushes away everyone and basically refuses to meet friends or get close to anyone for fear of being a danger to them. As she puts it, "Everyone I care about seems to die on me." Instead, she focuses on her studies, and her closest relationship is with Alaric Saltzman, her teacher and fight trainer, who has watched her grow up since she was about seven years old, though that's more because of Alaric's refusal to leave her be.
While she says that she stays away from people because she's a danger to them, the reason she closes herself off so much is to protect herself. She would rather be lonely than go through the kind of grief she's already enduring, having lost so much in such a short time. She doesn't believe there will be peace in her life, and so she accepts her isolation as necessary.
Hope is a troubled girl who carries grief and pain with her everywhere, so she tries to keep busy as best she can. She helps Alaric with supernatural cases, as she's best equipped to deal with most situations given her tribrid nature. She's had to learn control long before most of her teenage counterparts, though her fiery temper can sometimes get the best of her. She stubborn in a way that only a Mikaelson can be; if she sets her mind on something, there's almost nothing you can do to change her mind. She's also extremely vengeful; if you cross her, she will come after you with a terrifying fierceness, and she has the strength, cunning and ability to back it up.
Those that can find a way to crack through her exterior and earn her trust and friendship will find one of the most loyal friends they could encounter. She will fight and die for those she cares about most, much like her parents did when she was growing up. She's willing to sacrifice plenty to get what she wants and to keep her loved ones safe.
Now she just needs to find some so that her life doesn't feel so dire.

SPECIES: Tribrid - she's a first-born Mikaelson witch, her mother was a werewolf, her father was a werewolf-vampire hybrid. She's the first of her kind.

SKILLS: A good amount of historical knowledge, especially in matters surrounding the supernatural. She's trained in hand-to-hand fighting as well as combat with melee weapons, though she's by no means an expert. Her strength and speed are enhanced due to her werewolf nature. From her father's vampire side, she has inherited his healing blood, which heals herself and others when they drink it. If she were to die, she would transition into a vampire.
I assume her ability to use magic as a witch would be nerfed, as well as her ability to transform into a wolf.

POWER REASONING: Hope has an intense desire to be able to have control over her own life and the things that happen around her after having so much taken from her as she's still dealing with her loss and intense grief. This will manifest at first as physically pushing people and objects away from her body and preventing them from getting close to her.
