The tissue can regrow perfectly but you can't replicate neural pathways without reforming them. Your body could forget any one of its functions, or you could lose memory. And I don't have any reason to believe it's going to yield the results I'm told you hope for.
I'm a doctor. If we all withheld our help from everyone but friends and acquaintances, there would be a lot more dead people.
so basically there's a possibility that i would have to relearn how to, for example, walk.
it's not just for that. we were all totally out when they were put in, right? they could be tampered with for all we know. i know that what i want is a long shot even in the best of circumstances, but i have to try.
if i don't do it, someone else will, and while i might lose some of my memory or something, at least it won't kill me. i'm glad that i know that's a possibility now though. i guess i didn't think about it like that.
I've been here for over seven months. If they've tampered with our implants it isn't in any way that's had a significant negative impact on our lives. That isn't knowledge worth risking your quality of life for.
