i'm the only one of my kind. my grandma was a witch and practically invented dark magic. my mom was a werewolf alpha. my dad was one of the original vampires and a werewolf hybrid. i'm all three combined into one really weird package.

basically the world's biggest cosmic mistake.

most of it. yeah.

i miss my magic. i miss being able to transform and just run. but my head is a little quieter at least.

[It's strange, to both miss and hate pieces of yourself.

As far as the therapy questions, she doesn't mind, honestly. No one ever really asks her how she feels about anything.]

my mom and my dad had a one night stand, and he wasn't supposed to be able to have kids. since, you know, vampire. technically dead. not to mention i've had people trying to kill me since before i was even born because of a prophecy. i'm not sure it wouldn't have been better if they'd succeeded.

i didn't exactly make things better by surviving.

if i've learned anything about prophecies it's that they don't usually go the way anyone thinks they will.

but no, i'm not still waiting, and everyone who's still alive has moved on.

first i was supposed to bring an end to the witches of new orleans. eventually they just decided that meant i was going to bring about the destruction of the city altogether.

then there was a different prophecy that wasn't about me at all, but about the destruction of my family.

then there was the mess with The Hollow, the thing that possessed me when i was a kid. that's what ended up in my dad before he died.

i get why The Hollow would make people think that. a lot of people died. the proximity of pieces of her spirit made my throw up snakes, killed flowers, made it rain blood.

it was a lot of magical divination that got changed as things happened.

i don't know and i frankly don't care. there's not much anyone else can take from me anymore.

More of a construction built from that person's wants and desires. It's something that exists in my world. If someone's desires are reinforced enough by the world around them, they can create a structure of their own.

I believe many people say that, and yet, you're upset you lost your father again.

i'm just angry at myself for thinking it might last. i should have known better.

now i do.

but prophecies can shove it for all i care. everything has a loophole.

For what it's worth, I've found that such things tend to have an external force hoping to make it happen. If you stop that force, you stop the perceived inevitable end result.
